Mercy Health - Clermont Hospital Rated Among the Nation's Best Community Hospitals

(Cincinnati; July 27, 2012) – Mercy Health, which provides quality care with compassion in your neighborhood, announces that Mercy Health – Clermont Hospital is again earning national recognition for exceptional care.  The hospital is rated among the 100 Great Community Hospitals in a new independent study from Becker’s Hospital Review, a premier national publication that provides the latest news and analysis on hospitals and health care systems.

The study focuses on high-performing hospitals with fewer than 550 beds (Clermont Hospital has 166 licensed beds).  These hospitals are often the anchors of health and employment within their communities, providing patients with top-quality care close to home. They have demonstrated commitments to the health of their local population through clinical excellence, community involvement and various other efforts.

Mercy Health - Clermont Hospital is the only hospital in Southwest Ohio to earn this prestigious recognition. “This is a tremendous accomplishment that reflects so many of our priorities in terms of delivering exceptional care, providing a great place to work and practice medicine, and being engaged in our community,” said Jeff Graham, Market Leader and President for the Mercy Health East Market.

To compile this list, the Becker's Hospital Review editorial team analyzed information, recognition and rankings from a variety of industry sources, including iVantage Health Analytics, Thomson Reuters, HealthGrades and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Mercy Health – Clermont Hospital continues to build on its strong reputation for clinical excellence. The hospital has been rated one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation an amazing four years in a row by Thomson Reuters. This independent study identifies the hospitals that have the highest performance in patient outcomes, patient satisfaction and overall operations.

“Our consistent national recognition really speaks to the commitment we have to our patients from everyone on our team - our employees, physicians and volunteers,” said Gayle Heintzelman, Site Administrator for Mercy Health – Clermont Hospital. “Everyone is aligned and focused on delivering better outcomes and an excellent overall experience for every patient, every time.”
