Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic medicine is a method of pain relief for muscles, joints, bones, and connective tissues (cartilage, ligaments, tendons). At Mercy Health, our chiropractor uses hands-on manipulation and other alternative treatments in order to properly align the body’s musculoskeletal structure. Often, this realignment enables the body to heal itself without surgery or medication. Manipulation also helps to restore mobility to restricted and stiff joints caused by a traumatic event, such as falling, or repetitive stress, such as sitting without proper back support.
Migraine sufferers may also benefit from a chiropractic technique called cervical alignment. This gentle, extraordinarily precise procedure helps align the cervical spine located in the neck and may alleviate pressure that can cause migraine headaches.
